As I expected, it was a lot of fun. Having friends at a photo shoot completely changes the chemistry, and the photographer almost becomes incidental, making minor suggestions and corrections, rather than directing each and every shot and pose. I wasn't totally passive, but in many ways, having them there together was more of a case of pointing them in roughly the right direction and letting them go. I'm working on writing something about "how to be photographed" and my advice to bring stuff for a silly photo worked out great. They totally got into playing with the props. One of the major advantages of the group shots was not having to mess much with the lighting. I made minor adjustments during the day, mostly moving the key light. We had some challenges with sunlight coming in through a window off to the right, but for the most part, the flashes overpowered it. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
