I don't know about PS-3 but you could always install the free Pentax Raw converter. It will non destructively convert PEF files to DNGs. It doens't take long to install on a reasonably fast machine and you can always uninstall it afterwords, or leave it. It's really evolved into a fairly good piece of software.
