It's a beautiful shot! ... but it isn't a crane.  :-)

Tip: cranes fly with their necks extended straight out... egrets and herons with the neck position as on your bird.


Great Egret  is what it is.   (used to be called Great White Heron, too)
The yellow bill and the black legs are other clues and you did say it was huge. :_)

Interesting and nice that it has your signature style even though you are photographing something that isn't normally in your subject range. The bird's position in the sky and the tone of the whole thing is really stunning.. maybe you shoudl do more!!
