- Okay, so I am forgiven since it was really a date. I did not think about
borrowing a 67. Though she knows that I shoot 35mm. I couldnt fudge that.
She did get a kick out of my taking the finder of the LX and trying
available light to take a shot of her in the dimly lit restaurant where we
had dinner by focusing on the screen. I don't hold much expectation for how
it will come out. But it did bring out a smile. She did not even think I
was showboating because her Minolta could not autofocus on me when she tried
taking a shot of me with the camera on the table.

- Hey, I couldn't say that openly, good thing she doesn't read this list.
And really she isn't into camera aesthetics as it her camera has plenty of
black tape over the buttons so people won't inadvertently change the
settings.

- She has not seen the snake-skinned LXen. I did mention it and she is
curious to see them. When I commented about bringing out the classical
cameras to impress her she just smiled, her eyes brightened, the light
catching them ... Excuse me, just had a moment there.

- Reactions to the skinned LXen are usually to the extremes. Either people
hate them or love them. There does not seem to be a middle ground. My
Pentax rep loved them! But those are the two that I will be taking to
Honduras for two weeks. I have yet to have someone comment about the poor
snakes that did the ultimate for the cameras...

- And Tom, if you must know, it went very well. I definitely shot more than
she did but we had a great time. Too bad I am heading out of the country at
week's end. What is it they say about absence? Already making plans for
when I get back. Actually thinking about one more get together before I
leave too! She is up for it.

Trying to think of the upcoming trip south,
