 I agree;  while I really like the protea in the second image -- it
looks so light and airy -- the background is a mess.

Sunset 2 is a shot I have  taken before, in previous visits to Maui,
but this time there was more red in the sky, so I tried it (yet)
again.  Sunset 1 was taken to capture the extra color from the "vog"
that drifted into this area  when the trade winds took a vacation for
a few days, allowing the dust and gas from Kilauea to reach Maui.  It
was just before one of my many unsuccessful efforts to capture the
elusive "green flash."
