It seems to be IPS, 1920x1200 and a rotating display. It's also about $100
cheaper than the HP.
it's 1920x1080 -- otherwise sounds good on a spec sheet it seems like a
good value, but looking over some reviews i don't see anything that
shouts "great for photos"
