I'm pretty sure that all the AF lenses that Minolta can mount on Sony's cameras. It appears, (I don't have direct experience), that the newer mid range Sony cameras have much better autofocus capabilities than their earlier efforts. What that means I don't know. I've seen sample images and the look pretty good, but you never know the biases of reviewer. I think that the ergonomics would be a more important, some of the Cameras Sony has released in the last couple of years have, from that standpoint, been just awful.

I turn to the list for expert advice. A friend wants to know if the lenses he
has for his Minolta 7D will fit any of the new Sony's. If so, which of the
Sony's is reasonably priced but offers good autofocus for active subjects?

Thanks in advance for any help with this.
