I use the BBC website quite a bit as I'm subscribed to their RSS feed. The iplayer sometimes works and sometimes doesn't... I often get the dreaded "this content doesn't seem to be available" message. Sometimes it'll work if I try again. I think Firefox usually behaves better. I'll have another look tonight if I remember. I normally use Safari.
