Something is badly wrong there. I'm in China and quite a few things
load slowly, either because it is across the Pacific or because the
Great Firewall interferes. That site is a bit slow for me, but quite
usable. The whole thing loads in a minute or two.
yes, i'd say two things are badly wrong ...
i truly loathe pages that load in a "minute or two" -- that is simply
awful site design when there are simple alternatives ...
but the showstopper at the moment is that Qwest has been busy since
August installing "upgraded service" in my area, a process that has
shattered 10 years of stable DSL into periods when the line quality is
so bad that not only is it extremely slow, but there are so many
transmission errors and modem retrains that i can't even get such giant
pages to completely load at all
