This particular lens does very well with either digital or analog
capture. I'd buy it myself as a backup, except that I'm saving my
pennies for food and such...

I know that when they come around Columbus to buy from the stores
that the stores are not getting much at all for the film stuff.
Even the lenses from the film days are going for less since many
(though certainly not all) of the newer digital designs
are proving themselves superior.
