Those are beautiful, Walt. The sharpness, detail, and use of bokeh in the first one is
great. There's a touch of Ralf Radermacher's style in "Local", too. (Come to
think of it, we haven't heard from Ralf in a while...)

Cheers,

Thanks, Rick.

Very kind of you to say! I've seen some of Ralf's photos in annuals while visiting Ted Beilby in Arkansas, and while Larry and I stopped at John Francis's place. He's clearly in a different league, but to have a touch of his style attributed to me is flattering to say the least!

   Hi all,

I figured I'd take the lead of Ann and others this time
around, and cull my submissions for the Scavenger Hunt from
my existing archive. I'm still extremely busy trying
to organize and edit all the photos I took while I was in
California, so it seemed to be the wise course this time
around. In future iterations, though, I hope to
actually get out and take some photos specifically for the
assignment. At this point, I just wanted to submit
something so that the idea doesn't die from a lack of
participation, since I think it's a good one.

In any event, some of these have been posted to the list
before, but they fit the categories well, so I figured I
might as well use them. And here they are:

Come 'n get me, coppers!
