On the side of the Runnymeade library branch is the entrance to the

I love these old anachronisms - just like older school buildings that
still have separate entrances for "boys" and "girls", engraved in
stone over the doorway, lest anyone forget.

I guess they were from a time before youngsters were "kids" and it was
okay to be a "boy" or a "girl" - not like now, when it's almost an
insult to use that moniker.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little slice of the past.  Comments welcome.
