Okay here is another edit to the picture... I did some cloning and some lightening of the picture. I am not familiar enough with CS5 to lighten just the dogs coat so if anyone wants a go at it I can send you the unedited RAW version of the file.

The only minor adjustment I'd make is to slightly lighten the shadow areas on the dog's coat.
