I know this is difficult without actually seeing it, but I have a camera/lens package that I am planning on selling and I would like some opinions on how to rate it.
It is a Canon L1 Rangfinder with a 50mm 1.8 and original eveready case. The camera and lens are in full working order, including all shutter speeds. There are no dings or deep scratches on the metal or leather, but they are not as shiny as a true collector would probably want. The lens glass is clean and scratch/scuff free and I have the original cap. The aperature ring seems a little stiff (compared to my Pentax lenses) and a little of the paint has worn off the focus ring. The case has some scuffing on the outside and the stiching is pulling on one of the seams in the cover. I also have the original manual. but the binding has desintagrated and it is poor shape. I'd be happy if somebody could give a 1-10 rating or a bargain-excellant-mint type. I'd be grateful if someone could recommend where I would get the most interest in a camera like this. I inherited it from my grandfather and have shot a few rolls, but don't really find it has an advantage over my MX, which I'm more comfortable with. Thanks in advance, Steven.
