i always shoot RAW, except on my phone

most shooting i do is intended for minimal manipulation, but the camera often doesn't get the exposure i see, or i may miss something a crop will fix; beyond that, more manipulation seems to correlate to when i was least sure what my vision was when i took the shot, but i learn from it

i also shoot a certain amount of raw material for experiments
