A legendary & much-loved British sporting hero, Henry Cooper, has died. Some excellent pictures from his career are on the BBC website: <http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/8182447.stm>
I met him once, in Starbucks down by Charing Cross arches of all places. Maybe 5-10 years ago I was waiting to buy some coffee and I stepped backwards into someone queuing behind. I turned round to see this gigantic man looming above me, and it was Our 'Enery. I said hello, apologised for stepping on his foot, and asked him to go in front of me, which he kindly accepted. That's my claim to fame. He was a real gentleman.
