Actually, adding on a slide rule is really easy - that's what they do best.

The problem is that the example shown doesn't have linear scales (or, to be
pedantic, it only appears to have one, and the cursor doesn't cover it). My
(double-sided) slide rule has rather more scales than that, including linear.

(IIRC, a single linear scale is often labelled as the 'L' scale)
