As one might surmise from my earlier post, I'm one of them. IMO, they're scum, just a single tiny little step higher on the "might one day become human" scale than the "people" that hired them. Luckily, it appears that the judiciary is starting to understand the technology enough to start seeing through their capers. I particularly like the ruling this week that an IP address does not uniquely identify a person. As blindingly obvious as it is to anyone who knows how computer networks operate, it's often second best to magic to most anyone else.
