At least you only busted one ball. Well done. A good story and well written. -----Original Message----- From: Paul Stenquist <pnstenqu...@comcast.net> Sender: pdml-boun...@pdml.net Date: Fri, 13 May 2011 22:28:04 To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List<pdml@pdml.net> Reply-To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List <pdml@pdml.net> Subject: OT: One ball-busting job
In almost 40 years as a writer and photographer, I've tackled some pretty tough assignments, but this one has to go down as the most difficult. It's the story of a car built sixty years ago by a somewhat eccentric and very private millionaire. And only one person who was there to see it is still alive. A couple of months of research and numerous drafts were necessary, and because it's a newspaper piece, it had to be whittled down to a manageable size. Some of the photos that appear here and in Sunday's paper are mine. Ironically, I shot them as snaps to show the Times editors what the car looked like, but they were more than happy with them. I had intended to do a controlled shoot, but whatever. In any case, it's here on the web and will be on the front page of the Times auto section on Sunday. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/15/automobiles/15PAXTON.html?ref=automobiles On May 13, 2011, at 8:42 PM, Jack Davis wrote: > Interesting effect, Paul!
