I had jumped into the middle of the thread, just now went back and read your article Paul. Very nice piece. A good story. I immediately felt like I was there, part of the scene, not like I was reading about some alien exotic tribal ritual that I couldn't relate to. It helped that your '55 Chevy has lines that remind me of my first car, a '56 Pontiac like this one: http://www.theclassiccarshow.com/exhibitPage.php?exhibitId=118 (though mine had a two-tone brown color scheme, quite similar to yours). The first of several cars I regret having parted with along the way.
