Steve, Thank you for your comments and I am pleased for your interest in our flora. In fact, the biologically strategic position of Anatolia through ages has made it a rather uniqe place. You may want to have a look to the below Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flora_and_vegetation_of_Turkey
Incidentally, the flower you mention (tanacetum albipannosum) is part of the flora of the region in question. Its Turkish means something like "flea grass" because it seems tobe effective against flea and the like... I did not know that the below flowers (on the path of my puppy) were called "Turkish veronica", by the way: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=12840961 The valley is in fact flooded by a dam (Keban) but the feeding river with a beautiful flow of water is only a few hundred meters away. The mirroring cloud was the main reason for that particular shot; I am happy that it touched the same chord in you :) Bulent --------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.flickr.com/photos/bc_the_path/ http://photo.net/photodb/user?user_id=2226822 http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/bulentcelasun -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
