This is from the (frozen) lake Cildir (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_%C3%87%C4%B1ld%C4%B1r). Tim, The white stuff is snow (on ice). Paul, I like cold far more than I like hot weather. A "one-week summer" should be more than enough for me! Boris, The lines on the rocks reflect former levels of water. They may be salt deposits, but I do not know for sure. Ken, You are right about the footprints. I have accepted them, photographically, as a tolerable blemish...
