The setting certainly surprised me as well: "Honey, on your way home
stop by the store and get a loaf of bread, a gallon of milk,and a box
of .38 hollow points."  Upon reflection, however, this was pretty far
out and rural folks in Virginia do own guns and are entitled to some
place local to buy supplies.  Lots of towns have local gun shops but I
guess whoever owns the IGA thought to make some extra money by taking
on this function.  Certainly a nice selection for a grocery store.
