Very impressive, Mark!

I like the DOF. Did you do anything special for it?
You didn't do focal-HDR, did you?

I tried to play with the same combination of lenses a few times, and
my results were acceptable but not as good.
My biggest struggle was the DOF, even with the aperture closed down.

The DOF became incredibly shallow (and the sharpness went down) when 
I stacked 2.0x with the 1.7x (and still with the same DFA-100/2.8 macro):
