I can second the recommendation for Oakland Photographic Repair. I haven't been 
there in a few yaars, but their technicians were always superb -- able and 
willing to take on almost any repair. 
I'd give them a try. Eric Hendrickson gets good press, but he was unable to fix 
the meter in my MX. However, I wouldn't rule him out. Talk to both on the 
phone. See what they have to say.
