After looking @ the camera and lenses, I am not impressed. Probably the same opinion as many others have ...
1. "Toy" lenses are a joke. And in this economy the luxury of such a gimmick is not a wise marketing approach. Let the 3rd-party lens makers waste their money on mediocrity. 2. The price is too high for a camera almost as large as the small DSLR. Of course it doesn't have the large hand grip, but the lens protrusion makes it too big for a coat pocket or purse. 3. The small sensor is silly. Use a larger one, use current lenses, and add a pop-out mount for proper focusing. Perhaps like the Rollei 35. 4. That flash arm is going to break really fast. Customers will hate Pentax for that one. (Maybe they should put "Hoya" on it instead?) 5. But on the positive side ... 1. Styling is nice. (It has a nice personality.) 2. A p&s digital with a hot shoe! Not enough of them out there. 3. Internal electrical lens connection! I would not be surprised to see a new, similar system on upcoming DSLR models. Especially if Pentax makes more Pro moves, as with the 645D and whatever replaces it in a couple of years. (I also wouldn't be surprised if the K5 is the end of the road for the KAF mount.)
