I went back and made another pass at them. Part of the problem is that with colored spot lights (little halogen track lights IIRC) the color balance in the room is extremely uneven, and if someone is under a spot, and I color balance on them, and the background is illuminated with the white rope lights, then the background looks way wonky. I think this technique will work a lot better, for example, with stage lighting, when I'm zoomed in tight on the musician and the background doesn't matter as much. > > On 6/24/2011 5:48 PM, Larry Colen wrote: >> I frequently find myself photographing in lighting that is beyond the color >> correction ability of lightroom, usually because of there being lots of red >> and yellow colored lights. >> >> I ran into this problem at a dance last night: >> http://www.flickriver.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157626913661877/ >> >> The ideal would be if lightroom just let me push the color correction >> harder, either by doing a pre-adjustment to one of the color channels, or >> letting me set it to a color temperature cooler than 2000.
