They allowed me to vote last night, and I voted successfully for about
15 minutes, to check that it was really working, and to try to help
them catch up a bit. I wonder what happened to the votes that were
made when the images kept repeating?

I had submitted a small group of images a few weeks ago. One was
accepted just before the problems arose. Now, as soon as voting
started again, the rest were immediately declined. I wonder if the
problem had any effect on this. Two were, in my opinion, clearly
better than the one they accepted. I guess I will have to re-submit
them to reassure myself that the problems in voting did not influence
the process.

In any even, yesterday I had no "Photos awaiting submission." Today,
there is one entry there, which appears to be blank, even though I did
not upload anything yesterday -- or indeed in the last two weeks.
Another glitch of some sort.

I am concerned not so much about the site itself, but about the
impression it gives people about Pentax. It makes it seem like the
company either doesn't care about its loyal customers who post to the
gallery, or that the company isn't technologically savvy enough to run
an on-line gallery. I don't believe either is the case, but I worry
about the guy with an old *ist D who is thinking of upgrading and the
questions that may be raised in his mind about whether Pentax is on
the cutting edge of photo equipment or not.
