It seems that if I just crop off a little bit of someone's toe or a bit of their shoulder it looks like I've made a mistake. But if I come in extremely tight so that I just have the bare minimum of what absolutely has to be there, then I also get rid of almost every distracting bit of cruft that doesn't have to be there, and the pictures turn out a lot better. Lighting the subject from the side also helps, because they're lit, and all the extraneous crap on the bar, or restaurant walls, is just lost in the dark. > It looks like you have the details mastered!
