Those of you here in the USA might know of the issues we're having with the budget in Minnesota. The entire government is shut down because there is no consensus between the governor and the legislature about how to balance said budget.
Downside: Pain in the rear for a LOT of people (to put it mildly) Upside: When you bike into a (closed) State Park, you have the place to yourselves. My wife and I biked up to the Mississippi River headwaters - ostensibly the headwaters, although there are streams which feed this lake as well so ... who knows. Normally this place is PACKED with people who all want to walk across the stepping stones so they can say "I walked across the Mississippi!". I must say I've been quite pleased with the photo quality from my new iPhone4. Especially when you bring the images into Lightroom to give them a little tweaking, these come out great.
