I think "good enough" IQ is a reasonable goal for many cameras. We on this list are not representative on this issue. There was always the feeling that APS-C was a stepping stone to the ultimate FF cameras, but in reality APS-C is the new standard and FF is what medium format used to be. Smaller cameras like the CSCs have already gotten a reasonable chunk of market share mostly because they are smaller. My wife has an Optio with the same sensor as the Q and I'm often amazed at how good the IQ can be. There is clearly a market for the finely made pocket camera and the Q will always have the size advantage, which may be nearly as important as IQ for some.
