I got up early this past Saturday morning and headed out to Radnor Lake and then from there I went over to the zoo. This go around I packed a cooler with water, soda, ice and a sandwich for lunch. When I arrived at the zoo 15 minutes after they opened the place was already getting busy. I had forgotten that it was Ice Day at the zoo. They give all the animals special frozen treats that are in frozen ice and they have different ice sculptures here and there in some of the exhibit areas. They also had free ice cream for the humans, a blowup water slide for the kids, ice cream eating contest and a few other things. Over all minus the heat it was a rather pleasurable day of taking some captures of some of the animals.
