Well, you learn something on this list every day. I always though that
"fender" was North American for "bumper" (when it's not Fender with a
capital F - then it's a guitar).

On this side of the pond, the bumper is the part below the lights that
would be the first thing to touch another car if you rear ended one.
Varying in size and amount of cushioning stuff.
