G'day all

Dropping in from Alice Springs in Central Australia. Tomorrow we start
or journey back south.

The August PUG is now up - I wasn't sure how easy it would be to get the
Gallery up while on the road but internet access seems to be available
in even the most remote outposts.

It turned out to be a large Gallery and it's good to see some new names
among the contributors as well as the reappearance of a few 'old
stagers'. You'll find it here (as usual):

http://pug.komkon.org/

(you may need to refresh your browser if you see the July Gallery there)

There's some really nice work this month. I always enjoy seeing Ken's
'North Face of Denali" and Ann's 'Denali at Midnight' provides a
different perspective to the same subject. Other standouts for me are
Subash's 'Descent', Larry's 'In Flight', Christine's 'Grandfather
Mountain Landscape', Paul's 'The Pond and the Pier', Bill's 'Ten Miles
from Home' and Eric's 'Tamron Bokeh'. But I enjoyed the lot.

Well done all!

Next up - "Self Portrait". Now this should be interesting!!

Submission Guidelines here:

http://pug.komkon.org/general/autosubmit.html

The main requirements are:

* Max. pixel dimensions: 800 x 800 pixels
* Max file size: 300k
* Third party equipment is acceptable provided either the camera body or
lens used is Pentax.

Also - as not all browsers are colour space aware, if you embed a colour
space in the image, it should be sRGB to ensure the image looks right on
line. I usually check the colour space of submitted images but I've
been known to forget.

Cheers

Brian
