"Watch" = stand around uselessly, not knowing what is going on, what
caused it or how to deal with it but knowing you will get your vacant,
gurning, platitude-spouting mug on TV?
The only person capable of engineering what has been going on is an
ex-pat Aussie-cum-American who must be chortling through every day that
passes at the moment.
