Yahoo has been touting their new version of email for some time. They have
finally warned of a 9/19/11 pending deadline to make the change. Thinking I'd
just get it done, I did so this AM.
The email page (plain text) provided no spell check button, so I looked around to see if
I were just missing it. Finally came across their ststement; "spell check not
available on plain text email." BUGGERS!
I have had an email set up on Comcast so long I've forgotten the access route, but I
don't care for the idea of making the change.Tried downloading a free "Email Spell
Check" and got rid of it almost immediately. Joke!
Has anyone else run into this and have some advise. I keep a large print
dictionary on hand, but is tedious.
I wonder how many of these words have been misspelled.

i would have recommended using your Yahoo account via a desktop email client (most of which have spell check built-in) however i can't tell if you have to pay Yahoo to get IMAP access; you could just try it using these settings (disregarding the "mobile" context):

<http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mobile/comms/mail/imap-01.html>

otherwise i'd use the spell-check built into a browser like Safari or Firefox
