Hi Stan
We probably saw each other. We were at the Wine & Art festival also - from
around 3:30 til 7:00.
We were in T C for several days at our place on West Bay, from last Thursday
till this past Monday. The weather for the most part was as good as it gets
in the summer - there was no shock to dipping my tender body in West bay as
there normally is.
As nice as sleeping Bear Dunes is, others on the list are more scenic IMO.
It's first place ranking is the result of an internet campaign by'Up North'
and others in the T C area.
Moomers is darn fine ice cream that I wish was available down state.

Subject: PESO: Long Lake Sunset
We recently returned from a relaxing 10 days at the lake-side cabin. My
father-in-law chose a good spot when he acquired the place 50+ years ago.
We enjoyed the farmers' market, a couple of nice restaurants, and the Wine
and Art Festival in Traverse City, the vistas at Sleeping Bear Dunes
(recently voted U.S.'s most scenic beach), and the ice cream at Moomers
just around the corner from us (recently voted the best scoop in the
country). Mostly we just sat and read.
I probably have hundreds of sunset shots from the cabin lakefront over the
years, but given the recent discussion about sunsets here I thought I
would shoot a few more; this is one I am reasonably pleased with.
