Gopher wood too expensive and rare. I'd prefer a good marine caulk as well. Actually, I'd go with a steel hull. Wood from main deck up is OK. Teak. > 15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the > ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the > height of it thirty cubits. If this is going to be bad, I'd rather portholes every 4 cubits on all decks save the bottom two. Easy on the door in the side. Cranes on the forward and aft sundecks, with steel sealed hatches. > [...] > 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou > bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and > female. Forget the marine creatures in this list. They can fend for themselves. I'll throw garbage and scraps over the side to keep them healthy. If it'll be a long voyage, there will be deaths. Lets go with four of each sex and each living thing, sixty of the female humans, for cooking, cleaning, and making drapes for the windows. And for me. Only one other male needed, or better yet, a cryo-container of donations from a variety of other men, in case my seed has lost it's verve. > 20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every > creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come > unto thee, to keep them alive. Fowls in cages please. Cattle in outside cabins with slots to the outside for hosing out daily. Creeping thing are welcome, in terrarium like enclosures. Mustn't freak out the ladies. > 21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather > it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. Done and done. If this gets too burdonsome, I'm going for a 44 foot inboard and my animals.
