That is a possibility, but the difference in reaction speed felt rather huge :-)

Moving between shadows and sunlight areas would change ISO between
about 100 and 1600 in normal TAV, and only between 100 and 200 in
the user mode.

Anyway, I am using the direct TAV for now since I know what to expect there,
and will experiment furter with the user modes when I have some more time.

Actually, I feel TAV mode only became usable with the K5's huge dynamic range.
I hardly ever used it on the K10 or K7 due to its limitted usable ISO range ...
