Very nice. Does the snow sparkle when seeing the original print? I'm
guessing not because of the sun angle. Probably only in the area where the
highlights seem blown.
I've only printed this on matte paper which subdues any sparkle that would
be apparent. From the histogram, only very small slivers of the snow is
blown out, mainly that piled up in front of the houses and atop some of the
doors & awnings.
I think it's a gift you were able to get this without footprints or tracks.
I then assume these are summer beach cottages, not heated (snow on roofs)
and unoccupied. How far did you have to trudge?
Yep these are beach cottages and I was shooting from the main road that runs
perpendicular to the row of houses. At the end of the row is the Atlantic
Ocean. We were snowed in for several days & this was the first day we could
get out & drive around, as I passed these houses my wife spotted this scene
& insisted I back up & shoot it. I was probably 10 feet from my vehicle.
