Thanks for looking Ann. I can't disagree with any of your criticisms. I was waiting for my wife to finish her conversation, and I was trying to find an angle to capture the feeling of a summer Friday evening in town, with the outdoor tables, the classic cars and the crowds walking up and down Main Street. The woman in the heels really stood out in sharp contrast to the rest of the crowd, and I tried to use her as a focal point. I had only a few seconds before she disappeared, so I snapped away. There are just too many distractions, however, especially the sign and my wife's pink shorts!
I still like the idea, however, and there will not be another car night until next Memorial Day, so I thought I would post this image anyway, see what comments I can attract, and use the information to get a better view of the scene next year. Thanks for your comments -- they are helpful indeed.
