Very apropos this one and the motel. Last week my French cinema class
resumed and this term we're doing French film noir. Very interesting - nice
to see these complementary shots.
Your next shot in the dark has to be "a blonde. A blonde to make a bishop
kick a hole in a stained glass window".

You've inspired me, Bob. I think I'm going to fit Philip Marlowe lines
to a series of shots. At the very least, it gives me an excuse to reread
my Chandler collection for caption-fodder.
