I posted on this very subject a year or two ago -  I bought a SMC - M 50mm 
macro that had an hole bored into to the lens mount. When put on a Pz body, 
the matrix metering was activated.  Some former owner of this lens did this 
and it took me by surprise when I noticed it.  Here's a quick snap of the 
50mm -

the arrow points towards the home bored hole.

Don;t ask me if it works or not - I don't know. I always use centerweighted 
or spot metering.
