The question of how our new Ricoh overlords might treat, or ignore the PDML
went flitting across my brain. About the only way it might make a substantial
difference is if they wanted to lend tangible support (printing, advertising
etc. for the annual), I don't think that they'll be giving everyone on the list
a 645D or anything.

I found myself looking through Ned's blog http://nedbunnell.posterous.com/
and there are pages and pages of photos taken by him with the Q. I did a
search on his blog, and I didn't see a single picture that he posted taken by
him with the 645D. If I had his job, I might not have a closet full of 645Ds,
but I'd have at least one. At the very least, I'd have one on loan from the
company for me to play with. Hell, if I had a paycheck the size of his, I'd
have at least one. Knowing what little I do about Ned, I'm not too surprised.
He pretty much grew up photographically shooting Leicas. There was a huge
furor when he bought himself an M8 and commented that he liked it. The Q is
about as close to the Leica photographic experience that Pentax has in its
arsenal.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Mr. Bunnell's photography when
the big EVIL comes out. It'll also be interesting to see how his photography
welcomes our new Ricoh overlords. Will he get himself a GXR (sounds like a
Suzuki motorcycle) and the Leica module so he can use his old Leica glass?
