I wonder if the PK mount will be renamed the PRICK mount.
More appropriate to some list members ...
If I remember correctly, Ricoh used the PK mount for their own SLR
cameras, but there was some kind of a problem with their
implementation. Either Ricoh PK lenses would get stuck if you tried to
mount them on a Pentax body or Pentax lenses would get stuck if you
mounted them on a Ricoh body.
They had their own equivalent but different version of the A type mount,
they called it P for program. The P pin is always down and falls right
where a screw hole is on the Kaf mount, where it becomes stuck...
Some companies actually made a hybrid that worked on both Pentax Ka
mount and Richo KR mount cameras. I have no idea if the general run of
these hybrids work on Kaf mount cameras without jamming but I do have a
CPC 2x marked KAR which includes both the Pentax and Richo pins which
doesn't have any problem getting stuck on Pentax K-Fa mount cameras, not
surprising really as CPC is a Pentax produced product, but then again it
doesn't actually work in any of the "A" modes on any of my Pentax
cameras either.

Don't lose heart! They might want to cut it out, and they'll want to avoid a
lengthily search.
