I finally got a chance to give the K5 a workout this weekend. It is a great camera and a significant upgrade from the K7. However, I appreciate that it shares ergonomics and batteries with the K7 - makes keeping the K7 as a backup that much easier.

Yesterday I spent some time with autumn meadowhawk dragonflies and this afternoon I shot some bees in my yard. ISO 800 on the k5 is easily comparable to ISO 400 oin the K7, and the higher ISO was usefull when shooting the bees, which never sit still. I also note that the improved exposure latitude results in needing to use less fill flash - which is also helpful.
