Allow me to second that recommendation. I've been lucky enough to get rides around several tracks with professional drivers. By far the most memorable experience was a trip round Brands Hatch with Roberto Moreno (a driver with 75 F1 starts) at the wheel. While the car was "only" an Audi TT, the track was damp, and there was a local yellow at one part of the track (for repairs to a pedestrian overpass) it was eye-opening. Even though it was obvious that he wasn't driving at 10/10ths (or even 9/10ths) with a passenger in the car, feeling the way he kept the car under control in the turns beyond the limits of adhesion (constantly adjusting throttle, brakes and steering so that the car slid sideways just enough for it to come out of the turn at exactly the right spot) makes you realise the difference between a world-class driver and anybody else.
