Paul, et al. Thanks for your help with both of these lenses. I went back to the shop yesterday and spent quite a bit of time talking to the man behind the counter. He still had both lenses I was looking at.
I passed on the Takumar Bayonet 135/2.5 on the suggestion of the group. However, when I looked over the Vivitar Series 1 90-180/4.5 FLAT FIELD, I knew I couldn't let it pass. I got it for 89.95. It looks almost completely brand new, and I was sorry I didn't bring a body along with me on this flight, because I really want to use this lens right away. They had a BEAUTIFUL K2 there, but I think it was probably overpriced. I believe it was in the 229-250 price range. I did find a monopod that extends taller than me (6'3") that came with it's own ball head and carry bag. I had to buy that. Well, I'm off to have more fun, Bill On Sat, 02 March 2002, "Paul F.
