A decade is for (10) years as your rightly said. Unfortunately Dear Pentaxians, no electronic gizmo today is ever remembered for (10) years. Obsolescence is a mighty leveler, and (3) years is about all you get before you start itching for something new, as that particular model will not be supported - software, firmware or perhaps even components for repair. The K-5 is a good camera yes, but it has had its share of troubles too. Alas it is not present in my country - not even a Service Center - a forgotten brand. Old timers do speak about Pentax film cameras with respect though. And the fact the brand keeps getting sold does not augur well - a looser if you ask the Wall Street Executive. Yet I stick on to it because of my first love affair with a K1000 SE decades x decades ago.
