I guess I could have been more full in my explanation. The Z1p does it in MTF mode, with FA series lenses. The MTF information is built into a chip on the lens and is fed to the camera for the decision to be made. I do not use the mode myself, but it's still kind of nifty that I *could* use it if I wanted to.
